📖 Text & context division

Welcome, Biblical Researcher.

Bring your knowledge of biblical literature, textual studies, translation, and interpretation. The task is not to force Genesis into an engineering diagram. It is to test whether the proposed comparisons respect the text—or whether another reading explains the passage better.

THE TEXTUAL CASE FILE

Your investigation assignment

Examine the structure, sequence, genre, literary features, translation choices, and interpretive context of Genesis 1–6. Distinguish what the text says from what GEI proposes it may suggest.

Your first challenge

Does the proposed pattern follow the text in context, or does it depend on selecting details and overlooking stronger alternative readings?

What you can bring to the crew

  • Knowledge of biblical studies, textual criticism, translation, or literary analysis
  • Close reading of Genesis 1–6 and relevant interpretive scholarship
  • Clear distinctions between textual observation and interpretive inference
Your role matters

You're not here to defend a conclusion.

GEI is a proposed interpretive framework under investigation. Your contribution may support a comparison, narrow its limits, identify a better explanation, or show that an idea does not hold up. All of those outcomes are useful.

Participation does not imply institutional endorsement, employment, compensation, certification, or guaranteed publication. Do not submit confidential or sensitive personal information.
