📜 Language & meaning division

Welcome, Hebrew Scholar.

Your assignment is to inspect the words themselves. GEI explores several proposed language connections, but a sound resemblance is not the same thing as an established etymology. We need careful readers who can tell us what the Hebrew supports—and where the proposal overreaches.

THE LANGUAGE CASE FILE

Your investigation assignment

Examine the Hebrew vocabulary, morphology, syntax, semantic range, and context relevant to Genesis 1–6. Pay particular attention to the difference between Hebrew אָדָם (adam) and the English sound association “A-DAM.”

Your first challenge

What do the Hebrew words and their contexts actually support—and which GEI language comparisons are only wordplay or analogy?

What you can bring to the crew

  • Hebrew language knowledge, lexicons, grammars, and corpus references
  • Attention to morphology, syntax, semantic range, and historical usage
  • Alternative readings and evidence that could weaken a proposed connection
Your role matters

You're not here to defend a conclusion.

GEI is a proposed interpretive framework under investigation. Your contribution may support a comparison, narrow its limits, identify a better explanation, or show that an idea does not hold up. All of those outcomes are useful.
