Welcome, Hydrologist.

This case needs more than water imagery. It needs water science. GEI explores proposed relationships among source, elevation, separation, storage, drainage, and release. Help determine whether those relationships form a coherent hydrological model—or fall apart under examination.

THE WATER-FLOW CASE FILE

Your investigation assignment

Examine watershed assumptions, water balance, elevation and hydraulic head, storage, drainage, flow direction, and controlled release. Identify the data needed to model the proposal.

Your first challenge

Can the proposed sequence be represented as a physically coherent water system, and what observations or calculations would test it?

What you can bring to the crew

  • Hydrology, watershed science, hydraulics, or water-resources experience
  • Knowledge of flow, storage, elevation, drainage, and water balance
  • Models, data, references, or clear explanations of physical limits
Your role matters

You're not here to defend a conclusion.

GEI is a proposed interpretive framework under investigation. Your contribution may support a comparison, narrow its limits, identify a better explanation, or show that an idea does not hold up. All of those outcomes are useful.
